We stay at Birdie's Nest every year and every time it gets better. The owner Prince Robinson is a remarkable host and goes out of his way to make his guests feel comfortable. It is worth the price too. Truly an excellent getaway spot.

Birdie's Nest was a beautiful place with great views! It felt like a five star hotel with the pool right at the beach. The place is very clean and had everything we needed. The owner was helpful and really friendly. I would recommend staying here.

I felt compelled to write my first review here as Birdie's Nest and Prince deserve it.

Is there a Rating of 6???

The Host

Prince Robinson is the PERFECT host! He is cheerful, knowledgeable, witty, funny and goes out of his way to make your stay perfect. He took my boyfriend and I in search of a motorbike that ate up 2 hours of his busy time, yet he never fussed. He also got the BBQ to work for us! (thank you so much for this Prince!) He takes such pride of his place that you can't help but share this with him as well. Prince is a true gentleman - humble, respectful, and just a wonderful person.

The Place we called HOME

Apartment was SPOTLESS! I personally witnessed Prince and his mother Princess clean another apartment - it was then I understood their dedication and pride they have for their high standards. Apartment is spacious, all the amenities are there (sunblock, mosquito repellent), kitchen had everything we needed (minus the groceries of course). I could go on and on, but Prince has really thought this through. My favorite place was the patio where we could watch the sunset. We even ate our meals there!

The surrounding area was perfect - Birdie's Nest is perfectly located - very central in my opinion, and lots of places to get food. The lady that sells fish (Prince will tell you) is a must-try. She's closed on Mondays. The area is also very safe - it's mostly family members that were our neighbors.

We've definitely made new friends here, and we will definitely return. Prince, Princess, Birdie's Nest... a must-experience in Tobago.

Visiting Tobago is not new to us; however our trips are usually in groups. Since it was our Anniversary, this time it would be just US. Finding a prime location is very important to my husband, he required a vehicle throughout our stay and airport services well Ė thatís a given, he had to be close to the beach and cable TV must be included! My list was quite short: pool, Wi-Fi and kitchenette.

I found Birdie's Nest on tripadvisor; the place looked soo welcoming & together with the great reviews which were recently added, it seemed promising..

Mr. Robinson was an exceptional host even though weíre Triniís, (meanin this in a good way, i.e. we knew the island & our way around etc.). He informed us about additional highlights of the island & he organized a wonderful anniversary dinner which was centered with a breath-taking view Ė it was really one for the books!

Speaking for myself, I really wanted a get-away, I didnít care which country & once my husband likes it Ė Iím happy. However I have my own standards, I can truly say that my short stay at Birdieís Nest was one of the best vacations/get-away Iíve had yet.

Also, Mr. Prince Robinson, well done!! This place was truly a well kept Beach Front 'Nest' with its own Infinity Pool. You are without doubt a genuinely hospitable gentleman who is exceptional at what he does. We look forward to another stay!

We were brought to Birdie's Nest by our taxi driver, Mr James, arriving on a dark steamy night in early March.

Prince was there to greet us and show us around his lovely home-turned-holiday apartments which were clean, spacious and very well furnished. What we could hear but not see was the ocean but all was put right the next morning - opening the door and walking onto the sun terrace you could almost touch the water. Birdies Nest has a stunning location right on Turtle beach in Black Rock, a 'real' Tobagan village. Prince and his mother keep the apartments spotless and are ready to provide car hire and advice ranging from which trips and excursions would suit your style (the Frankie Tours coastal cruise was spot on) to where to buy the best fresh lobster. Guest enjoyment is top of the agenda and Prince is justifiably proud of the new swimming pool that he checks and cleans almost every day - No silly hotel rules here, if you want to enjoy a nightime dip whilst listening to the crash of the waves on the beach just go ahead! All in all the perfect place to experience real Tobago at an excellent price.
