Victor Rogers from U.K. visited in February 2015 and awarded  One out of Five

We had been to Tobago on four occasions, each time booking a Cabana with Crown Point Beach Hotel. Since it was coming up to our 25th wedding anniversary we decided that it would be a great treat to revisit the Island of Tobago.

So we went about booking a Cabana. Over the past trips we had got to know several of the regular visitors to the Cabanas, and had made friends, they were there for several weeks at a time, so we had asked if they had booked with the Hotel or an independent owner. We obtained the contact and booked the Cabana with Ms Debbie Schneider.

The confirmation follows

"Good day Victor, confirming you on your reservation from the 3rd-13th February. 2015 Tobago cabana 409.As agreed 90 Sterling per night.Victor you can pay randy my property manager the full sum when you have arrived.Would be rather nice if you can give him Sterling.Hope to see you soon .I am now in Germany and would be returning in November 12th. Regards Debbie Schneider Regards to the Queen for me".

Great stuff we were really looking forward to our stay.

On the 29 January I asked for contacts for car hire. No answer.

I phoned her before departing no reply. Arrived in Tobago after the long flight (9hours) Walked to the Hotel (just across the road) Registered with the front desk, and went with our key to the Cabana, not the right key. Apparently when talking to one of the other Cabana guests our booked Cabana 409 had been occupied on a block booking for the last couple of months. We were horrified to have been lied to.

When we went back to the front desk with the key they said, that Ms Schneider had booked us into another room, Not at a Cabana.

My wife was really upset and I lost my sense of humor.

No explanation or apology.

My advice if your holidays are sacrosanct, book with the Hotel.

Did not stay here but apparently I have to enter 150 words - sooooo let's see, I asked for a number of places to stay for one night - some I got replies from, some I didn't. the one I was extremely disappointed in having got no reply - was from Conrado Beach Resort. We really thought we might stay there but they never replied to me. Thank you.

Upon entering the Cabana, I was impressed with the cleanliness and overall decor of the room. The distance from the airport and proximity to the beach was great for us as we did not have the need for a car rental.

The ambiance was quite relaxing with the crashing of the waves and the chirping of the morning birds and the surrounding shady trees were awesome for relaxing on my lounge chair and catch up on my reading.

Everything went well except on the last night the air condition unit stop working, but other than that it was fantastic and I would go back.

Had a great stay at Cabana 409 at Crown Point for Carnival week-end. Debbie was very accommodating and helpful. We had access to all facilities at Crown Point Hotel PLUS we were right on Store Bay. Apartment was comfortable for two persons. Had 2 queen size beds, fridge, stove, a/c, porch, lawn chairs. Towels in abundance. Cleaning can be organized if requested. Had minor repair on kitchen sink tap to be done which was done very quickly and quietly. Debbie was very apologetic and sent fruit. Wonderful stay! Recommend to anyone and will return.

What a glorious stay we had! This cabana was exactly as described. It was very clean, spacious, secure, very close to the beach, had a full kitchen( including a fridge and the cutest oven and stove) and was very confortable. Also, my sister-in- law really appreciated the air conditioning. Debbie was very gracious and her assistant Randy was very attentive. He explained everything. We also had access to and used the swimming pool on the premises and there was free WiFi. There were three of us and we could have easily accomodated a fourth. Parking was free in a secured parking lot. This cabana is located on the grounds of the Crown Point Beach Hotel which was a slow 6 mins walk- who wants to run- from the airport. It was close to EVERYTHING. I mean walking distance to the banks, restaurants, night clubs, liquor store. Abit of a jaunt to pigeon point but absolutely doable. I have been to Tobago so many times before and I'm so glad that Ive discovered this place. We will definitely/always return to this place from now on. It really felt like "home away from home".This is one happy Trini and hopefully after this review I'll be able to get a booking. This is now my place to stay whenever I'm in Tobage. Well done. SEE YOU SOON DEB!!
