I spent my Republic weekend at Douglas Apartments with some friends and it was GREAT!!! The rooms were neat and cozy. I love the little balcony at the back and the sitting area outside our was just adorable. The pool was great. Mr Douglas was a great host and a very pleasant man. Unfortunately... the two nights we spent there, electricity had gone for about two hours but that didnt stop my friends and I from having a great time. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable.

The three of us (self, husband and teenage daughter) have just returned from Tobago having stayed in the Douglas Apartments over Christmas. We would highly recommend these apartments for location, friendliness and cleanliness. We were a little disappointed when we first arrived as we had been told we would be booked into one of their two bedroom apartments on the second floor with a large shared balcony at the front of the building, however, on arrival we were told that the two bedroom apartments were both on the ground floor and we were assigned to one of these. The bedrooms are very large. Our room had two queen size beds! and our daugher's room had one queen size bed. both were on-suite. Although the bedrooms did not have windows we both had a back door leading to the back patio area. Air conditioning was a bit loud (but aren't they all) and we preferred the use of a large floor fan instead.

Kitchen / dining area was well equipped and clean with maids coming into clean and change bedding and towels half way through the week.

Soundproofing was also excellent. In fact, on Boxing day evening they had a large family party round the pool going on to the early hours. We heard none of this as the bedrooms are at the back of the apartment and we didn't even hear people above or next door.

Douglas and Joanna are just so friendly and welcoming.. even their dog Sparky was layed back! We felt very safe at the Douglas, in fact, every where we went in Tobago we felt safe.

The Douglas definitely has 'kerb appeal' with their curved balcony, style of the building and pool area.

On our last day we unfortunately had to vacate our rooms by noon that day with our flight being 7pm that evening. It wasn't a problem as we were allowed to sit around the pool area and they kept our bags in the office.

We liked the location as it was close to restaurants and other amenities. A stroll to Pigeon Point was about 15 - 20 mins.. gentle walk.. a stop off at Bago's bar on the way home was a must!

Rooms are clean and comfortable. The Hotel has a very nice and clean swimming pool that you can enjoy after beach.

The Hotel is very well located (near restaurants and markets). Is a good choice if you are going to Tobago.

My friends and I spent two nights at the Douglas, we rented two single apartments. I must say the apartments were CLEAN, private and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool which was also clean as well as the surroundings of the facility. The rental service was great, we rented a vehicle for one day and experienced no problems. The owners Mr. and Mrs. Douglas seemed to be very friendly people which is a plus when operating this type of business. However, i think a linx machine should be introduced soon as it is more convenient for some people like myself. Apart from that our weekend was quite enjoyable and i am definitely returning to this facility in future, and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Mr. Douglas welcomed us with his natural friendly nature, and our first impression was that we are at home.

The place is clean and very comfortable. We were visiting Tobago after 10 years and have felt the warmth of Douglas family to go back again next year. It's close to Crown point and beaches as well. Their swimming pool is new and beutiful. One should stay there to enjoy the comfort. Its true.
