We stayed for 2 nights at the See Shell in Parlatuvier. We were a family of four, and decided to take the two top apartments so we'll have enough space. The cheap price per apartment ($45 US) made that decision easy. We paid half of the sum in advance via Western Union, which was a bit annoying (plus included a $10 fee), and felt a bit outdated for 2015.

The hotel itself was excellent. The rooms were clean, well maintained and large enough for 2-3 persons per room. The beds were comfortable, and the lack of AC was no issue as it was not too warm. There were no mosquito nets, but we didn't feel that there were any mosquito.

The kitchens were well equipped with cooking facilities, pens, pots etc, but lacked elementary stuff like salt, sugar, oil etc, which forced us to go and get them at the local store in bulk.

The location is stunning. Right above the see, with great views and perfect sounds from the ocean. Very quite during the day and night (besides some nice music from the neighbors). There is quite a lot of stairs on the way up, so carrying luggage and groceries was a bit hard.

We had very little interaction with the owner (just email and phone).

It was one of the best time in ten years ToBaGo. Easy, clean but all necessary (helpful kitchen, TV, radio)for low budget. I donīt miss the internet, Air-conditioning or a mosquitonet.

The style of the Guesthouse "Sea Shell" is mixed from old & new, some parts are historical. Now at home I miss the amazing views from my apartment to the jetty, at the beach and over the sea in specially the noises of the ocean. The fishermen, the shops and the Communitycenter makes your life comfortable. Only few steps from the property into the beautiful Caribbean Sea. Dreamful moments at the balcony.I like the windows and the doors. Friendly people in the little village and special Thanks to Dale (the weekly visitor), the sisters (which change the towels and sheets), my waterman and nice talking man Ryan/Spin with the daily newspaper!I spend three weeks, to short, thats why I must come back. My place to relaxe, to cook a lot of kinds fresh fish with vegetables and lime with the local people.

This place was exactly as advertised and described in the other reviews. It was a perfect location, comfortable accommodations and a good price. I stayed for 4-5 days and spent almost all of my time on the awesome porch overlooking the ocean. Would definitely return.

Parlatuvier was exactly what my friend and I were looking for in our Tobago vacation. We used the Sea Shell as a base to hike, enjoy the beach and go fishing; at the end of the day we could come back, cook our fish and relax in tranquility. The apartment is simple with most amenities, a peaceful location and an amazing balcony.

My friend and I stayed at Sea Shell for several days and it was the perfect accommodation for us. It was simple, secure, comfortable and beautiful. It is steps from the beach and has a fantastic view. Very charming, and the landlord was polite and pleasant. We had a completely positive experience.
