I found this place after searching for some time on the internet. My relatives who spoke no English wanted to come to Trinidad and I thought that as they were newly weds.. this would be ideal; even though I was somewhat concerned thinking that Sea Shell may have been too quiet for young people. After spending two days down the beach with this thought in mind I left them in the company of their two friends. Well, they had such a great time and would love to return. "Away From the Madding Crowd" With only the sound of the crashing waves to put you to sleep. ... not many places like this.

I recently spent a week in Parlatuvier, and lodging at the Sea Shell was one of the highlights of my stay. The Sea Shell is practically on the seashore of Parlatuvier Bay, and this lets you enjoy the ocean breeze night and day. My self-contained appartment was very spacious and it had a wonderful roofed balcony with a view of the bay to enjoy either morning coffee or afternoon tea. By midweek, Mr. Wallace himself came to make sure that I was fine and brought fresh sheets and towels. Mr. Wallace, considering our problem of exchange control in Venezuela, was even kind enough to trust my word for the reservation without me having to make the required deposit in advance. Considering other lodging options in the area, the Sea Shell offers a great budget alternative in Parlatuvier. An added bonus to my wonderful week in Parlatuvier at the Sea Shell was the fact that I was able to arrange meals with Ms. Joan, who lives next door, and who makes the tastiest, homemade caribbean meals that I have ever had; and arrange transportation around the island with Allan, who lives in nearby Bloody Bay. All in all, I had a great week in Tobago, and both staying at the Sea Shell and dining at Ms. Joan's made this happened. I am looking forward to coming back soon.

Lovely, private, clean, beautiful setting, and comfy bed. Also the kitchen was well stocked with cookware. Nice shower, lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean, sweet little deck over looking the bay. Safe location off the beaten path. Friendly folks at the local bar. I would for sure return! Excellent lovers retreat.

A great value if you want peace and seclussion!

Parlatuvier and seashell appartment we booked as it seemed that this place is a quite one with less tourists.

it was our first stay in tobago - so we did not know what will expect us.

lets start with the positiv one: the location of seashell is a single one and excellent . the view from the balcony over the palatuvier bay, directly under you the sea and the beach - it was really relaxing and we spend hours on our balcony.

the appartment itself is very basic one. this is fine as the interiour includes everything needed to spend their a week or more.

But - be aware- everything has to be cleaned before usage !

this is the big issue with this appartment- you do not enter it and feeling well. it is not clean and it is not proper maintainanced.

honestly spoken - i think the lessor does not care too much on client comfort as long as the rent is paid. (we have seen him once- at the arrival day to hand over room key and payment)

however, what we really enjoyed was the peacefull enviroment and our coffee/breakfast at mrs. chances bar round the corner.

in a nutshell: for the quality of the appartment , the price is too high - for the same money you get for sure a much cleaner appartment in tobago!

Simple and clean accommodation. Nice village, fresh fish daily. The sound of the ocean. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax this is great. Joanne is both a wonderful person and great cook, she lives in the house down the steps and will cook you up fresh fish and goodies. Her roti is excellent.! While the village is quiet it is easy to find people to give you tours or set that up once your there, no need to worrie about setting of all up in advance it is easy enough to have a local fisherman take you out if you desire or get a guide. The sale was very friendly and is able to get you a car rental or can if you like. Had a great stay!
