My family and I thoroughly enjoyed Seascape. David was quick to respond to my inquiry as I was a bit last minute with the booking. The caretaker Rolling and his wife were really sweet and welcoming. The place itself was tasteful-vacation/cottage vibe but modern and clean. The view is spectacular. The kitchen was well stocked. Some beer and water were complimentary. There was a boogie board and binoculars that my nephew enjoyed. Castara in general is my favorite spot in Tobago. We had a really positive experience all around. We took some day excursions and were always happy to return to seascape to rest. My only complaints was that the fridgerator wasn't working perfectly (but i brought it to owners attention) and the circular mosquito nets are not my personal favorite. In my opinion these complaints are so minor. I highly recommend seascape and any of Davids properties. Also seemed that the village had a positive opinion of David and his wife, which was nice to hear.

We stayed at Seascape in July 2011 for 10 days in the Sunset apt. We were 2 adults, me and my wife, and three kids, 1, 9, and 11 years old.

The house is very good for a family, with two large bedrooms and an excellent kitchen and dining room, with a view more than spectacular. In the morning you can look the sea and the sunset is a very good moment.......

Rolling, the man who follows the houses, was very kind and available, despite the birth of a baby in the days we were there.

I can surely recommend this sistemation!!!!

Apart from the number of stairs to get to the property - which got slippery and difficult when wet - we were very satisfied with the accommodation which had fabulous views over the sea, and was near to a lovely beach!

For convenience a microwave would have helped but we also liked the charm of not having this modcon.

I will highly reccommend and will be very happy to stay there again.

We spent 6 lovely days in the small village of Castara and in the Sunset apartment. We had high expectations of them both, and yet they were exceeded! It is one thing to view pictures on the Internet, and to actually see, hear and smell the place. Having looked around in Castara, we are convinced that SeaScape has the best location of all the accommodation in the village. Especially in the Low season, as there are not so many visitors, you can enjoy not only of the marvellous view to the sea -we saw one day a double rainbow that ended 100 meters from the apartment! -also the privacy of a very nice small beach. There were only a couple of people on the beach during the time we were there.

The apartment is nice: clean and cosy, has all the basics that one needs (TV is not needed here; there is quite enough to see in the nature)

Two things to be aware of: first, the noice during nights. Although the waves are definately not high at all, they make surprisingly loud noice in the night. Second, the local roosters have no idea of when they should be singing; they start around 1 o'clock in the night, and go on for a couple of hours! So, if you are sensitive to noice, bring ear plugs and you'll be fine.

Second, the heat and ventilation. We experienced that the ceiling fan is necessary (do not select any accommodation with only floor fans, they are of no use), and we were there during the not-so-hot season!

One more thing: moving around the island is not so easy if you do not rent a car. If you do, be prepared for some extra excitement in your life. But after a couple of days, you will get used to it and can enjoy the beautiful roads and the nature around them.

All in all, if you enjoy beautiful nature and watching genuine Caribbean life (with its pro's and con's) and can survive without extensive tourism services, you will surely enjoy Tobago! If not, consider some other destination.

And if you do decide to visit Tobago -which we highly recommend! - the village of Castara and especially SeaScape is THE choice of accommodation.

We loved SeaScape! The climb from the street isn't for anyone that has bad knees...but well worth it! When you open the bifold doors to walk out onto the balcony every bit of stress that you carried with you until that moment falls away! The sound of the waves crashing on the shore, the birds calling each other and watching the sunset over the ocean is magical. After the sunsets and you are sitting on the balcony and the first firefly blinks in the darkness you feel like you've come home! Everyone should be lucky enough to experience the magic of SeaScape during their stay on Tabago in the loveliest of villages Castara.
