Comments To Sherwood Park Appartments   13 Jan 2004

Ulrich from Berlin, Germany

One day back from a four-weeks stay in the Sherwood Park Appartments following you can find our comments:

If you are used to have and also like an all-inclusive holiday – forget about Sherwood Park.

If you want to have the beach in front of your sleeping room, the rainforest besides your bathroom, restaurants and bars when you open the door – forget about Sherwood Park.

But if you are looking for:

- reasonable price for what you get

- enough space in your appartment

- a choice between rooms with or without air-condition

- very clean rooms made-up with new towels every day, new bed-linen every three days

- a small kitchen to prepare breakfast and simple meals, no high-class equipment but enough for a holiday

- balcony each room, first floor rooms without air-con but with sea-view

- a large swimming-pool with enough chairs

- a very quiet and relaxed atmosphere (ten appartments only)

- a manager (Nigel) who takes care for every wish you have

- a friendly staff, all times friendly and helpful

- beaches, super-market, restaurants to be reached by car in fifteen minutes

- a feeling to be at home

then you should stay at Sherwood Park Appartments.

You need a car (as nearly everywhere on the island if you want to see something of Tobago), but this will be organized by Nigel or member of staff Andie, who beside his job at Sherwood Park has a small car-rentals agency, offering new cars for very good prices.

As there is a rather constant breeze (house situated on top of a hill) you even donīt need the air-con. Just open windows and doors, enjoy the feeling of the soft and silky air, touching your skin when laying in bed, seeing the sky and the stars (sometimes visted by a mosquito – baby-oil mixed with Citronella helps).

For us it has been a wonderful time there and from here we say thank you again to all of Sherwood Park Appartments.

Special thanks to Nigel and his wife Vicky, preparing a wonderful barbecue

for us and our guests, having my 50th birthday-party last week.

P.S. Steve - your beer is waiting. If not in your fridge, please ask Nigel or Marvin.

Sherwood Park Apartments Review

Hi Steve,

I am very anxious to read your review on Sherwood Park Apartments. Not that I am impatient or anything!!

The funniest thing happend this weekend. We went to book our wedding vacation at this Dutch wedding bureau (called Extravaganza) and of course we asked the lady all sorts of things, like Marie the wedding coordinator, flight info, etc. She in fact said that we knew more about Tobago than she did, upon which I told her that our source was mytobago. Hearing that, she reacted very nice; she knew the website very well and in fact got a telephone call from the Dutch owner of Sherwood, Fred, who lives just around the corner of this bureau. He told her that he saw on mytobago that a Dutch couple wanted to get married on Tobago and wanted to stay at Sherwood. He was curious to know if this couple already got in contact with her. Amazing how things get together via your website. May I compliment you on that by the way!!

I am sure that your vacation on Tobago was very very nice and I am very much looking forward to your Sherwood review.

Sherwood Park Appartments: The Place To Be

Kees Brouwer

From 26th February till March 8th we experienced one of our greatest holidays in our lives.

Tobago has everything to offer for a never forgettable holiday.

With its natural beauty, its fantastic rainforest and waterfalls, its enormous variety of plants, birds and fishes, surrounded by coral reefs, the unspoilt beautifull beaches and you feel yourself in heaven.

Add to this the hospitable, friendly local population, the moderate prices and the place where we stayed (The Sherwood Park Appartments) and you can imagine that it was very difficult for us to say goodbye.

Besides all the great things we saw and experienced we will never forget the warm hospitallity Mr. Nigel Pirtheesingh and his staff offered us at the Sherwood Park Appartments. They did realy everything to make our stay in Tobago an onforgettable one.

For those who have plans to go there ( or to go there again) we have only one advise: Just do it.

And if you go and you donīnt want to drive yourself, call Rodney (774 8103) and experience yourself how friendly and flexible local taxi-drivers are.

If there is one (negative) advise we may give you. Donīt use the servies of West Indian International Tours (Ms. Judith Walcott) becauuse we had some very bad experiences with them.

For the rest: TOBAGO, a MUST for everyone. (but please not too many)

Mi Kyung and Kees Brouwer

Sherwood Park Apartments

Brian Popay

I echo all the positive comments that have been made about these apartments. We were in "Mango" Room 11 which is at the top right of the building and so benefited from a constant wonderful breeze blowing through it. The swimming pool was superb and the room facilities good, with mosquito nets and fans making sleeping easy. Nigel and his staff were lovely and the residential position of the apartments are great for people who like to be able to sleep at night!

Altogether highly recommended for couples or small families, especially as apartments have interconnecting doors if needed.

Very near Buccoo and Pigeon Point, but not too close!

Review Sherwood Park

Well Steve, we like to thank you for your outstanding review on Sherwood Park appartments.

For us, you just couldn't time it better. Next week we're gone experience the wealth of this accommodation.

Although we have talked to Fred Rabbink several times the past months, who, by the way, already did convince us that Sherwood Park was the right place for us, it's always nice to have things confirmed.

So, just seven more nights in our own bed before we hit one at Sherwoods. Counting the hours....
