First we have to say that we agree completely with all the other very positive comments that have already been made and can confirm that previous guests have given fair and accurate descriptions.
We were delighted to be able to stay here at very short notice. Having previously stayed at Castara Retreats, we already knew Porridge and Jeanell and it was a real pleasure to be made to feel completely "at home" staying in their apartment, and to get to know them and the family a little better. They warned us before we came that they were having building work done (to increase their own living space), but it was no problem for us, and only added to the interest to see how things are done Tobago style. In fact being away from the village centre and the beach gave us more insight into everyday life there.
Although the kitchen was perfectly adequate, we ate out most days, and through Porridge's connection with Castara Retreats we were made very welcome at their new bar/restaurant, and felt we were treated as friends there, too.
All in all, it was an excellent place to stay for both excellent value and the best hosts you could wish for.
