Our time at Porridge's Place was a great success. The room was very nice. With Porridge and Jeanell were extremely gracious. Jeanell baked us some bread our first night there and was always close by if we needed anything. I was surprized that we never saw (or felt) a single misquito. The fan and small AC were more than enough to make our room comfy.
Porridge provided transportation when we wanted to go places. We rented a car for 3 days and did some exploring. I can't say enough about how well Jeanell treated us. Porridge's Place isn't the 'glitz and glamour' spot on Tobago (although Porridge knows where that is) BUT It is a wonderful place to 'get away from it all' and enjoy the island way of life.
Be sure and wonder down some of those 'adventureous' roads. We found lovely white beaches which we had all to our selves. And always we found people willing to be helpful and gracious.
