We stayed at the apartment for 9 days and the villa for 5 days in Jan 2014. The building was well maintained and kept extremely clean and tidy by Charmaine the lovely housekeeper.
The apartment is nice and spacious and ideal for 2 people or a couple with 1 or 2 children as there is an extra bed in the bedroom and a bed settee in the lounge area, all on the ground floor. The villa on the first and second floors is beautiful and has a magnificent veranda overlooking the rainforest perimeter and the pool/grounds - all of which are well tended. The air conditioning works well although we did not use it very much as the villa does not get overly hot or humid due to its open and spacious design. Both villa and apartment are similarly very well equipped with everything you would expect or conceivably need (although a toaster would be nice in the apartment). The villa is situated in Mount Irvine which is a 10 minute drive from Crown Point and so is in a nice quiet location. The complex of 5 luxury villas share a lovely pool but during our visit we were the only people who used it. The complex is fully gated and has a security/maintenance man (Wayne) so we had no worries about leaving valuables in the apartment even though it didn't have a safe (the villa does). The focus of our trip was scuba diving and being based 10 minutes from our chosen dive school (Extra Divers - recommended) was nice and convenient and we really enjoyed the variety of dive sites on offer in the Crown Point area.
I have no hesitation in recommending La Petit Careme apartment and villa.
