I just wanted to give a short report on our stay at Petit Careme apartment (not the Villa).

Firstly, the location is beautiful. It is set in well-tended, landscaped grounds with lovely trees and plants everywhere. The swimming pool is lovely and the place overall seemd very quiet, which is just what we wanted. There are 5 villas in the complex and they are all well separated and you don’t feel at all crowded.

Petit Careme, as some will already know, comprises a villa and an apartment underneath. As there were only two of us, we booked the apartment. It was really lovely. We found it to be spacious and clean and very well equipped. The air conditioning was a godsend on occasions as it did get pretty warm (no, really…). As it happens, Merilee and Rawle (the owners) were staying in the villa upstairs (by the way, the apartment has a completely separate entrance). Merilee and Rawle were very welcoming and warm and even provided us with ‘emergency rations’ whilst we sorted out our shopping. The lovely Charmaine came 6 days a week to clean and did a great job too…we didn’t try out her cooking but by all accounts it is marvellous…maybe next time.

All in all, we had a great time and I would recommend Petit Careme to anyone who wants well kept, clean and spacious accommodation (we had a quick peek upstairs and the villa is huge too!).

If and when we go back to Tobago, we will definitely be looking to book Petit Careme again.
