Seaville Chateau

Just returned from 16 days in Tobago and spent 8 of them in Charlotteville - loved the place so much didn't want to leave. We stayed at the Seaville on Belle Air Road just by the track to Pirates Bay (whew!). The rooms are basic but cost only $25 per night and that includes a/c and fan and ensuite with a shared kitchen with the other top floor room. Kitchen had every facility- large fridge, cooker, microwave etc including a TV with a terrible picture (watched ODI Windies v SA cricket one morning whilst raining). The 2 top floor rooms are by far the best - you can use the long balcony and just sit and look at the rainforest sipping your rum - there is even an oblique sea view. I think that the Seaville is probably the only cheap guest house in Charlotteville to have a balcony. The ground floor rooms are very dark and would only suit someone who wanted a base - eg a diver who would be out all day. Our room was simply furnished but the door opened on to the lovely view - and Brenda who looks after the place is a bonus - she is a treasure! Would definitely therefore recommend the top floor rooms for those with simple tastes.
Charlotteville was the perfect place to chill out - Gails was our favourite restaurant - set menu was home-made veg soup then choice of meat or fish. The fish was always delicious! Tried all the others (Sharon and Phoeb's apparently take credit cards) but Gail's was the best TT45. Enjoy Charlotteville folks, we certainly did.
Cheers
Z
