Wow! Absolutely loved this place.

Stephanie gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived and showed us our room and all the amenities. We were in the 'Iguana' room, which was very apt as there is a huge iguana which lives in the trees outside, which was very entertaining!

The apartment has a shower room (great shower! And lots of storage space for your toiletries), a sleeping area (very comfy bed with a mosquito net and a big wardrobe/storage area), a kitchen, (with a cooker, fridge, sink and plenty of crockery, cutlery and utensils), and then the balcony - fabulous! It looks out right onto the beach/reef and was just amazing - we saw a big spotted stingray one morning and fish and eels in the reef - as well as all the birds flying round. The little washing line to hang swimming costumes out to dry was a nice touch!

The beach is literally a minute's walk from the apartment and we had a great time swimming in the bay cooling off from the heat and snorkelling. There's a great bar/restaurant on the beach which is run by Steph's sister-in-law, Sharon - be sure to visit!

There are also other restaurants in Castara, though with most Tobago establishments opening times are a little haphazard! Also plenty of mini-marts to stock up on items to cook back at base. The fruit shop at the top of hill when you drive down to Alibaba's is particularly good.

We can't recommend this place enough - and will definitely return!
