How can one write a review on what must be called pure paradise! Our stay at Alibaba Sea Breeze in the little sleepy fishing village of Castara was nothing less than magical!

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by Stephanie and Brian (Alibaba) Our apartment was spotlessly clean with a well equipped kitchen, a huge and very comfortable bed and a bathroom boasting a large shower with lots of hot and cold water!

As we walked to our private balcony we could hear the waves gently breaking on the shore right below! Little did we know what a fantastic view was about to greet us! A near perfect 'horseshoe' shaped bay with turquoise clear water dotted with small fishing boats, surrounded by tropical forests and hills!

Each morning as we sat out on our balcony having coffee/tea, we would watch the early morning activities of the local community and wild life. By 6.30am the commercial fishermen had already left in their small boats for the day. Other fishing boats trolled the bay fishing for family and friends! Bird life had already started their morning chorus while the magnificent Mot Mot bird sat regally on a nearby tree branch and Frigate birds soar high over the bay in the sky. The many shades of the turquoise blue sea sparkle in the early morning with beautiful Sting Rays and Spotted Eagle Rays swimming right into the shore nearly every day! The tranquility of this scene repeated day after day!

The beach was just a few steps from our apartment and throughout our stay had only a few other people bathing on it! We were able to snorkel right from the beach seeing countless shoals of incredibly colored tropical fish!

We were so happy with Alibaba's Sea Breeze that we were able to extend our two week stay by a few extra days and have vowed that next time (and there will be a next time) we will stay for at least a month!
