This was our second stay at Ali Baba's, with our first occurring two years ago. Castara is a fantastic little village. We were happy to find the stingray room to be nearly identical to the turtle room where we stayed previously. While the outdoor deck area for stingray has more sun exposure, at least one of us enjoyed the deck two years ago more because the strong heat from the sun Limited the time that we spent oUT there this time around. In addition, it seemed like we had a few more bird and iguana visitors in front of turtle than we did in front of stingray. Fantastic to be able to do self catering there. The kitchen was clean and there was enough room to cook comfortably. Also nice to have several restaurants nearby when we want to eat out. Just loved the snorkeling out front and are looking forward 2 our visit next year. This time we also had the pleasure of a day out with Alibaba for a wonderful tour. While the sunset from the deck is nice , going down to the beach gives you a better Vista for pictures, FYI. Stephanie has been helpful and accommodating whenever we needed to communicate with her.
