The first thing that impresses you about these apartments are the owners. Retired fire officer Victor Forde and his charming school teacher wife Ursline do their upmost to make your stay with them realxing and worry free. They live in one of the apartments and are always on hand if you need any assistance, advice or just want a chat, but are never intrusive.
Victor and Ursilne have two two bedroomed and one single bedroomed apartments for rent.We stayed in one of the two bedroom apartments which was amply large enough to sleep six.
All the apartments are spotlessly clean and equipped to the highest standard. Both bedrooms have aircon, the kitchen has all the appliances you require including a huge fridge freezer for all the beers and just in case you can't live without it, the lounge has cable tv with all the film and sports channels.
Outside you have your own verandah but a better option is to relax in Victor's beautifully kept 1/2 acre citrus orchard which is attached to the apartments. You can sit here and watch many species of birds darting in and out of the trees.
As with most places on Tobago outside Crown Point you will need a car, again Victor can help, he has a couple of cars availble for rent at very competitive rates and like his apartments the cars are clean and well maintained.
The only thing that stops these apartments from being perfect is that the nearest beach is 20 minutes walk away but this is reflected in the price. We paid $50 us per night for our apartment. If it had been near the beach I wouldn't be surprised to have to pay three times this amount.
If you are looking for an apartment close to any nightlife the Arnos Vale Apartments are probably not for you, but if you want a relaxing get away from it all holiday I don't believe that there will be many better options on Tobago than these apartments.
