My companion and I had a wonderful, albeit brief, stay at Mr. Forde's guesthouse. The studio apartment was spotless and fully furnished with all the amenities that American visitors would appreciate. Arnos Vale beach is a short walk away as is the sleepy town of Plymouth. I only saw two tourists in two days, and all the locals were friendly and helpful as well. I should also note that Mr. Forde bent over backwards to help us navigate the area, even offering us short lifts as needed, for which we were happy to leave a nice tip. I plan to return there soon. Highly recommended if you want a comfortable immersion into the culture and lifestyle of Tobago.
