After spending a week in Castara we moved to black rock. WE don't drive and thought we should see what Tobago was like a bit further south. It was a little difficult to find the apartment but a phone call to Liz and all was well. The apartment was clean and set in it's own mini rainforest. Liz has been nurturing the garden and it's lovely. Lots of birds, bats and mammals visit. As it's a much flatter area we were able to venture in a different direction most days on foot. Sitting on the beach is not really our thing but I have to say that both Grafton and Courland are fabulous. We tend to self cater and there are two small shops in the village for absolute basics. really you need to shop on the way from the airport. Liz and Lindsay are very generous hosts and seem to do all they can to see you get the most from your visit. We could have got the local bus which does a circular run Scarborough through black rock, Plymouth and crown point.A couple of small restaurants and bars were a short walk up the road. The locals were friendly and we really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to go back.
