Birdie's nest is a fantastic place to stay. This is for 3 primary reasons:

1. Prince, the owner, is a great host. He takes special care to show you the property and to make sure that you get to do all the things you want to do while in Tobago. For example, he emailed us at 11 PM to tell us that the Save Our Sea Turtles group had spotted a female that was digging a hole to lay eggs nearby. Then, he rode with us in the car to show us where. Finally, while we watched for the next hour or so, Prince walked home in the dark so we wouldn't have to take him back! Prince is amazing.

2. The place is clean, well-stocked with kitchen supplies, and has a gorgeous infinity pool. Lounging in the pool in the evening was a great pleasure. The TV had lots of channels and the internet worked.

3. The location is prime. It's out of the hustle of Scarborough and Crown Point, but it is also not as secluded as towns like Castara. It's close to Highland Falls and Fish Pot. Black rock is a nice little town. And the beach in front is actually quite nice. There is even some nice coral and fish to be seen by snorkeling out around the black rock point just to the South of Birdie's Nest!
