The three of us (self, husband and teenage daughter) have just returned from Tobago having stayed in the Douglas Apartments over Christmas. We would highly recommend these apartments for location, friendliness and cleanliness. We were a little disappointed when we first arrived as we had been told we would be booked into one of their two bedroom apartments on the second floor with a large shared balcony at the front of the building, however, on arrival we were told that the two bedroom apartments were both on the ground floor and we were assigned to one of these. The bedrooms are very large. Our room had two queen size beds! and our daugher's room had one queen size bed. both were on-suite. Although the bedrooms did not have windows we both had a back door leading to the back patio area. Air conditioning was a bit loud (but aren't they all) and we preferred the use of a large floor fan instead.

Kitchen / dining area was well equipped and clean with maids coming into clean and change bedding and towels half way through the week.

Soundproofing was also excellent. In fact, on Boxing day evening they had a large family party round the pool going on to the early hours. We heard none of this as the bedrooms are at the back of the apartment and we didn't even hear people above or next door.

Douglas and Joanna are just so friendly and welcoming.. even their dog Sparky was layed back! We felt very safe at the Douglas, in fact, every where we went in Tobago we felt safe.

The Douglas definitely has 'kerb appeal' with their curved balcony, style of the building and pool area.

On our last day we unfortunately had to vacate our rooms by noon that day with our flight being 7pm that evening. It wasn't a problem as we were allowed to sit around the pool area and they kept our bags in the office.

We liked the location as it was close to restaurants and other amenities. A stroll to Pigeon Point was about 15 - 20 mins.. gentle walk.. a stop off at Bago's bar on the way home was a must!
