Stayed at Mot Mot for a week, just the two of us. Found everything to be as described by the others here and had a nice relaxing week. We agree that an aircon in the lounge would be a good idea as there is not much natural air movement even with all the windows and doors open.
Unfortunately the plunge pool was out of order for the whole week even though Kyle (we only saw him once) said it was going to be fixed as soon as he got the part for the pump that he was expecting the day after we arrived.
Surprisingly there were no left over basic condiments - salt, pepper etc. Strange because we always leave what we don't use for the next people ...... There was also no "welcome pack" even though this is not advertised, it's a nice touch and not an expensive thing to do (a bottle of water would have been nice!).
Steve was a gem, and very informative. He collected us and delivered us back to the airport as well as sorting out a hire car for a couple of days. Make sure you stop at the Penny Saver supermarket in Crown Point before getting to Castara as the local shops / supermarket are very limited as can be expected from such a small place.
"Ham" runs the bar at the bottom of the hill and also lives behind Mot Mot, he's also very helpful and friendly - Friday night is BBQ night, very tasty and cheap.
All other restaurants in Castara are priced for the Expats only. We never saw any locals eating in them which was explained by the pricing - circa 90TT (£9) per person for food average.
The sun rises over the pool / deck early morning but is gone by 3:30pm which keeps it cool in the afternoon.
It's a perfect place to stay if you have a small group due to the 4 rooms downstairs and the self contained apartment upstairs.
Selvin the owner was very quick and helpful during the booking process - top class service.
