This is not a tourist hotel, it is a traveler's hotel. If you accept that, don't needed to be pampered, and prefer to spend you money on other things you can be happy here.
The rooms have a kitchenette , balcony/patio, and a bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a/c . The beds are not bad. Maid service is every second day . You don't have a view of the ocean
but the beach is a very easy walk as is the air port.
Don't worry about noise from the air port, it isn't a problem
although the music from near by night clubs can get loud on the weekend.
There is a small store at the hotel if you want to make use of the kitchette and larger stores (not super markets) within a few block.
If you prefer, you can eat locally at the beach kitchens, small restaurants or pizza/chicken places: all within a few blocks. Evening dinning in 4 ot 5 blocks.
You may never need a car but if you want there are regular taxis or local taxis around the corner at the airport.You can also rent a car right there.
Mike is not in your face but leave a message at the store and he will contact you and help in any way that he can.
We met a number of fellow travelers enjoying there stay .
If you think small, independent, convienient and helpful(but not intrusive) is good, you will think Mike's is great!
O yeah, price is a bargin.
