The Naturalist Beach Resort is a fantastic place to stay in Castara. The room we stayed in (Whale) was very spacious, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The Crow's Nest room where our teenage daughter stayed was fantastic, with its own bathroom, fridge and terrace. This let her enjoy her privacy but kept her close to us too. The rooms were cleaned every day by the friendly, helpful staff, who also provided a clothes laundering service free of charge. Every morning there was a lovely breakfast provided which always included a local speciality eg. stewed pumpkin (yummy!), saltfish or fried plantain. Wifi was reliable and free too.
Ancle, the owner, is a lovely person who went out of his way to help and advise us and to make sure we were comfortable and looked after at all times. He also included 1 day free car rental. The apartments lead straight onto a beautiful beach and the warm water of the Caribbean Sea (in our opinion, the best location in Castara).
All in all, our stay in July 2012 was absolutely fantastic: excellent accommodation; beautiful location; wonderful people; fabulous memories!
