We stayed at three places in Tobago and the Naturalist was the best place we found (by far). We had the Blue Merlin apartment. You can watch on the sea directly from your bed! From the large balcony you have the full overview over Castara beach and the whole bay. We could watch the fishermen who start or end their fishing tours from the beach or bring out there nets directly at the beach in the morning or evening time. The beach is nice for swimming and snorkelling. In the afternoon you have even the opportunity to see stingrays, which come close to the shore.

The apartment kitchen was well equipped compared to the other places we visited, e.g. a microwave, grill and wider range of pans. The apartment was daily cleaned and the linen was changed every two days. So we felt very comfortable.

We enjoyed the village of Castara, too. It is quite remote, but there are quite a number of tourists staying in different little places. So you find some restaurants which have very good meals for fair prices (go for the lobster). And if you prefer cooking yourself, get very fresh fish directly from the fishermen.
