My husband and I spent a week in Castara in late July, early August. It was our first visit to Tobago and we absolutely adored it. A huge part of that had to do with our stay at Nature View Apartments. The apartments are clean and well equipped with a lovely covered porch nestled in with all the mango and banana trees. Our host, Wolf, was the best host you could ask for. He was helpful and kind without being overly present. We had an issue with the ATM machine right off the bat and he loaned us money for the day and immediately took us to the bank in Scarborough the next morning (and he was a great guide!) We hope to return to Castara and would stay again in a heartbeat. If you're looking for a fancy resort, Nature View may not be for you (of course, Castara may not be for you) but if you're looking for warmth, hospitality and a lovely experience in Castara, I highly recommend Nature View.
