Perfect location, never disapoints

Post by Linda P »

We stayed at Rainbow Resort for the second time this year, and have already booked for next year. This time we had one of the larger apartments. There were three bedrooms, an en-suite with a double and a single bed, second room again with double and single bed, both with air-con and a third bedroom with a double bed. Although the third room did not have air-con, there was a large pedestal fan, and a vent with built in fan (like an extractor) that drew the cold air through from bedroom two.
There was a large bathroom with a huge shower. The kitchen and lounge area was spacious, kitchen had a large fridge freezer, oven, microwave, kettle and toaster - all of the basic equipment that we would expect was provided. Sliding patio doors opened to the pool area with a selection of chairs, tables and loungers - where we usually took our meals. The size of the pool for the number of apartments is great, and I don't think we ever shared it with more than one family.
The owners, The Rattans are lovely, nothing is too much trouble, Mr Rattan phoned the office from home to tell my husband which channel the England v TT football match was on and Mrs Rattan bought us fresh fruit from her garden on several occasions.

Added to this the location is perfect for us, 25mins walk to Pigeon Point and $35tt for a taxi back if we are feeling lazy, Colours, Bago's and Jimmy's bars all within 10mins walk, along with restaurants, takeaways and convenience stores. Having said that, do not be put off when you are told that this is the busy end of the island, it is more like a small friendly village than a buzzing metroplolis.
