We thoroughly enjoyed our 11 day stay at Rosa's House. The apartment is basic but very adequate, and the view from the comfy chairs on the porch is like something from a travel brochure. The owner, Gifford, was most accommodating, arranging transportation, helping us locate lost luggage and promptly dealing with any requests. We have read reports of people complaining about roosters crowing, dogs barking, etc., but for us it is all a part of experiencing a world so different from our own. We would agree with someone who posted that Charlotteville is the "jewel in the crown".
