Sea Edge Guest House

Post by Brett S »

My wife and I stayed at The Sea Edge in February 2004

The cottage was clean, the bed comfortable, the kitchen sufficient to prepare simple meals.
We enjoyed breakfasts on the porch and stargazing at the cliff overlooking the sea.
The grounds are very nice with beautiful flowers and fruit trees.
We didn’t rent a car and found it an easy walk to both Buccoo to the west and Mt. Irvine Beach to the east.

We enjoyed a few visits with Gemma and her family. Gemma helped us gather groceries and retrieve our lost luggage.

At our departure Gemma gave us a travel version of the New Testament.
Should we return to Tobago we would consider another stay at The Sea Edge.

I'm pleased to hear that someone else has enjoyed Sea Edge, just as we did. It sounds like Gemma felt very comfortable with you :) . She really seems to care about people, and went out of her way to help us too, but on the other hand, would never approach us unless we encouraged her to, apart from checking that we were OK. Did you find that too?

Tobagonians are very serious about religion and also excited by it, but somehow I have found them to be welcoming but never imposing.
