Tobago, what an experience! The music, the culture!
Six weeks I was living at Shirma's Apartments and for six weeks I felt welcome and warm. I spent a good deal of time travelling after this and not once did I find somewhere I enjoyed quite as much.
The rooms are spacious, pristine, with nice facilities and very good air-conditioning and mosquito protection.
The apartments have good privacy but also give you the option to socialise with others who are staying.

There is a fantastic beach nearby and if you want to explore other areas the taxis are cheap and easily organised.

To medical students planning to stay in Tobago, this is the place to go. I met some very dear friends whilst on my elective (who were doing the same). Shirma and Clifford organise your transport to the hospital in the morning and Shirma cooks up a feast on a Sunday for lunch. Don't forget to ask Shirma about doubles and smoothies. Shirma and Clifford were like caring parents, helping you learn the island but also good friends at the same time.

Cheers Clifford and Shirma, you'll be seeing me again!
