I stayed at Shirma's for 4 weeks and despite travelling alone for the first time ever I was immediately made to feel right at home. Shirma came to pick me up from the airport herself and had me singing along to soca music before too long. We also went via the supermarket to make sure I had plenty to get me through the weekend before our group shop.

I had a lovely spacious, modern apartment to myself fully equipped with everything I could possibly need. The setup is perfect for meeting up with the other students staying at Shirma's for when you are having a quieter evening in. Shirma and Clifford provide transport to the hospital in the week and to the supermarket once a week, and are always on hand if you need anything. Shirma's homemade lunch on a Sunday is also an event not to be missed.

I couldn't have asked for anymore from my 4 weeks in Tobago - I cannot thank Shirma, Clifford and family for being so welcoming and truly being a home away from home!
