I do recommend the Blue Mango cottages in Castara for every one who loves unspoilt nature and beautiful beaches with cristal clear water.

The Blue Mango consists of several (5 or 6) individual cottages all with their own private balcony or patio. They all lie on a rock above the picturous beach of Castara to which they have their own access ( afew steps to the beach).
As all the balconies and patios are facing west, incredible sun sets are guaranteed.

There is no air conditioning and no TV but neither is required.
The open architecture (a hand-wide gap between the walls´ top and the roof) allows a fresh breeze in during the night.
The bed has a mosquito net to keep unwanted visitors out.

Nevertheless due to the open structure some isolated ants could be found during the stay eventhough the cleanliness was good. The bed linens were changed twice a week as well as the towels.
All cottages are equipped with a small kitchen (fridge + freezer, stove, sink, toaster, plates etc etc).

Rental cars can be parked on the premises.

Despite other descriptions of the village on the internet a few supermarkets or kiosks can found where essential breakfast items can be bought.

Furthermore some nice seafood restaurants are located in Castara which prepare the day´s fresh catch.
