To stay in a self contained cottage, big enough to provide some privacy for each of two small families travelling together, in a beautiful garden, separated from the sea by only a hedge sounded awsome to us. But, except from the space and the proximity to the beach (where you are not supposed to swim by the way, only between the flags several hundred meters away) we were disapointed. The first thing that happened when we arrived was that our son found some kind of poison (rats?) in one of the bottom cupboards. Not nice, of course we then had to wash everything in the kitchen before using it. Nothing in the house, luckily except the towels, felt clean. The unkept garden made it so dark it constantly seemed like dusk. The information book found in the house was not at all updated. (A shop next to the reception? Yeah right!)

Plus side was that our son loved the loose chickens, which he chased whenever he got a chance. The beach at Pirate's bay was my best ever, have to recommend a boat taxi if you bring a stroller like we did (that climb was hell!) And the food and service and two-person ambience at George's place, on our left on the way to "city center", saved our evenings. Thanks!
