Wow! well what can I say sitting here at work, with the snow falling outside... Castara is a very special place, and Toad Heights is a beautiful location. Steve & Rita made us feel very welcome, and introduced us to all the right people. The villa's location is magical - you feel as if you are in the middle of the rain forest, with mango trees, bread fruit trees, humming birds and parrots and yet you are only 10 mins walk to the beach. It's the best of both locations. The village centre is just 10 mins walk away as well. I'll miss sitting on the balcony, (drink in hand), looking out to sea & taking in all the flora & fauna. there's a couple of small supermarkets, but our favourite was Bingey the fruit king (& Hazel his wife). The best local food was opposite at the creole 'restaurant' (1st floor) - you have to try her sweet chicken stew. You've also got to see the lads drumming down at Sharon's on a Wednesday night - say Hi to joey & Casey!. The accomodation was good - wooden floors, good size kitchen, large showers, & clean spacious bedrooms, and it was cleaned every couple of days. thank-you Steve & Rita for a very special holiday.
