Where do I start? We spent 6 nights at Leapfrog and loved our entire stay. It was in little rain-forest of it's own. We hear and see lots of birds and other animals like colourful lizards and aguti. Leapfrog was also surrounded by lemon, lime, mango and banana trees. Although it isn't right on the beach, one can still have the view from the stairs leading up to Toad Heights. Better still, the bathing/snorkeling beach is only 5 minutes (Little Bay) or 10 minutes (Big Bay) walk.

There are also 2 (uphill and downhill) local shops within 2 to 5 minutes walks from Leapfrog. The shop on the uphill sells bus ticket to town (Scarborough) and the bus stop is just next to the shop. The downhill shop is called Bingi the King of Fruits and his wife Hazel take bread order everyday (collect next day) from 30TT depending on the size of the loaf. Other shops/bars/restaurants/entertainment are all close by and Internet is accessible from Toad Hall which is just a few steps downhill.

Leapfrog as accommodation is very spacious for 2 people. I think it can easily accommodate a family with 1 small kid. It has a living space/dining/kitchen, bathroom and separate bedroom with safety deposit box, wardrobe and mosquito net. There are also 2 fans, radio and basic utensil/cookery sufficient for simple cooking. The bathroom doesn't have the hot shower but we find the water refreshing in the tropical climate like Tobago.

During our stay we were very fortunate that we were well looked after by Petra and Look Up, the locals who caretake the place. They are both lovely and generous in assisting with our every need and people in Castara are ever so friendly and welcoming.

Last but not least, many thanks to the owners, Steve and Rita who have been very prompt in attending to our every whine and query even though they were miles away from Tobago during our stay. We communicate a lot, got tons of helps and tips from Rita & Steve since a week before we got to Tobago and it is very reassuring that they keep checking if everything is ok with us at Leapfrog. We were also lucky to have the pleasure of Cat, the house cat as a company during our stay. She was very friendly and adorable, making the stay at Leapfrog even more memorable.

We would definitely recommend Leapfrog to anyone who is seeking refuge in Castara and can appreciate many things that come with the nature. But if you mind the noise of birds, insects and roosters, then this heavenly little place might not be your sanctuary.
