We were a group of 7 for the first 2 days, 8 for the next 4 days and between 9 and 11 for the last 2 days - a total of 8 days. Dealing with Caribbean Estates the agent for the rental was satisfactory. They responded to our queries and concerns in a timely manner.

We stayed from Saturday to the following Sunday at Cypress 194, the twin of the two Cypresses, the other being 193. The housekeeper Kathy Ann was excellent, and a great cook. She prepared a delicious meal for us one day. The villa itself was well kept and grounds adequately maintained. The pool water was about 12 inches below normal level because of a leak somewhere according to the maintenance guy. It also seemed to have more leaves than the identical one next door which was always very clean and at a good level.

Our first impressions upon taking possession of the villa at about 1 pm were a bit disappointing. The kitchen clock had stopped at 4.30. There were no basic supplies in the kitchen such as salt, sugar and pepper nor such utensils as measuring cup or pans for baking. There was a bare supply of kitchen utensils for exactly 10 people - some plates, cups, bowls, dishes and drinking glasses were chipped and even missing (during our stay we accidentally dropped one glass and was asked to provide $15 to replace it!). The exhaust fan and light for the stove were not working. A pressure cooker would have been nice. The BBQ was completely rusted and useless (this was replaced with a new one on Monday and we used it twice). Other suggestions for improvement - ensure electrical outlets in one bathroom and one bedroom are securely fastened to the wall; ceiling fans in 2 bedrooms and kitchen; serving trays, clothing rack for drying; check-list for kitchen utensils; mesh covers for food left on table; poolside utensils; bigger cutting board; 50% more dishes; drain catchers for sink. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect was the lack of internet access - being a mixed group, some of us had to maintain contact with homebase.
