Location was great. Security of the house was great, though locking so many locks is definitely something Americans are not used to doing. Our family group of 8 - grandparents, married children and 2 young children - had all the privacy we needed, thanks to room air conditioners which meant when we closed our bedroom door, we felt in our own retreat. The outdoor dining area was perfect -- looking out on the hills while eating our meals in this very spacious area with long dining table that easily accommodated all of us. Nice to have a washer/dryer (dryer needs some repair). Pool is small, as indicated on the website, but perfect for children's playing and relaxing/diipping anytime one feels like it. Some updating is needed, and the realty rep is on top of that -- he was most responsive to the couple of issues we had during our stay. Being there in holiday season meant the regular cook was not available. Brian Abraham found Bev, who ended up being wonderful, and so very reasonable. Since food shopping is not so easy, having ample meals delivered a couple of times during our stay let us eat very well, with plenty of leftovers. There were no staples in the kitchen (i.e. sugar, salt, oil) -- ask ahead of time whether these will be there. And -- we only found instant coffee in the supermarket, so bring your own coffee to use in the villa's coffeepot, if that's what you need to get you going in the mornings. Brian Abraham was a pleasure to work with -- would definitely work with him again. We had rented cars, so don't know about walking to the nearby beach. We headed to Pigeon Point Beach -- just beautiful though realize that the food stalls run out of food pretty early; we also took the very long ride through the hills and towns to Englishman's Bay -- stronger current there, but beautiful beach and a hidden quiet pool of water at the far end of the beach that absolutely enchanted our granddaughters. We stopped at Marguarite's on the drive up -- can't recommend this restaurant highly enough! Loretta
