Where do we start! A 12 day honeymoon of absolute bliss, the villa was all we needed in fact much bigger than we thought we could have invited the whole family but considering it was our honeymoon i guess it was not quite appropriate!

The weather in Tobago is lovely and Palm Haven is the perfect spot for a villa in a gorgeous area high up and with the most amazing views yet 5 min drive to shops (if that) and not even 10 minutes drive to the beach (if you drive like my husband - or the tobagonians!!)

Highly recommended places to visit and see are the glass bottomed boat (we picked up from Pigeon Point - best beach by far) the nylon pool, a memory we shall take to our graves! its a naturally made pool in the sea which you access from boat and the water is as clear as a pool and surrounded by reef so feels enclosed. you cannot explain in words what it is like so all i can suggest is that you go there!! We also enjoyed the short trek (20 mins for a very slow walk) to Tobago's largest waterfall, not half as much as we enjoyed getting lost in the rainforest and seeing the most spectacular wildlife.
in all honesty there are too many good things to mention but we did as much as possible in the 12 days and still had time to sunbathe and eat to our hearts content! (Tobago not recommended if you want to diet or lose weight the food is so scrummy!!)

We were not expecting a house keeper and cook so pleasant as Joy is but this just set the mood for the whole of our stay in Tobago everyone from the security guard (Roger) was absolutley friendly and welcoming and we hired a car (Sheppy's car hire situated right by the airport is a must) Sheppy himself was such a delight he is even due to come and have dinner with us when he visits the UK! the car hire is very reasonable and recommended to see all of tobago, we spent most days travelling and driving around the beautiful Island and still want to go back for more.

The villa really is true to the pictures and if not better! Also the maps and guides and information on Tobago which is kept in the villa was an absolute god send and all you need really to plan your stay. On a tropical rainy afternoon (which normally lasts no more than a few hours) the cable tv provided many up to date movies in fact some we hadnt quite seen, as well the villa providing a decent music system for a lazy time by the pool (oh and i havent mentioned the glorious pool which had plenty of sun beds surrounding it and a very handy ledge along one side inside the pool which was perfect to sit on and great for reading your book yet getting some sun and swim at the same time!!)not only that but it has an infinity edge which at night with the underwater lights on was breathtaking for your dinner!

We would not hesitate to recommend again and in fact are planning our next trip for 2008! We love the country so much we would like to buy a second home for holiday's ourselves but unfortunatley Palm Haven is not for sale!!!

The owner and company who deal with the rental side of it in Tobago are as helpful and honest as can be...

If you have not been then why not!!!
