I have just come back from a 3 week trip to Tobago with my husband, four kids and parents. I have been staying at Villa Rennie on and off for about 15 years and everytime I go back the experience gets better and better. I had the most magical time at Villa Rennie recently, it really is home from home. The moment you get off the plane you really feel like you are in paradise, it's so beautiful there! The villa is very close to the airport and beaches! We loved to go down to Grange Bay everyday, we were sometimes the only ones on the beach, so beautiful and picturesque, watching the children bodyboarding on the crystal clear waves whilst having a cocktail or a nice cold pitcher of beer from the Buccaneers bar, which is attached to The Grafton Hotel, whilst the sun goes down is total bliss! If you go to Grange bay around 9am, you sometimes see the fisherman pulling the net in full of fish. When we were there recently, they caught a babyback Turtle which I have never seen in all the time I have been there so that was nice to see, they put it safely back into the water afterwards.

The Villa has all the comforts you need, four large spacious air conditioned bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a very large TV with american channels, which is good if you get the odd day of rain, WIFI, and best of all, the most beautiful pool with stairs leading into the water. We liked to sit on the stairs of the pool and look at all the beautiful birds and flowers all around, so pretty. We also used to put some cheese out for the Mot Mot's, they visited us everyday, the kids enjoyed putting the cheese out for them.

What I love about Tobago and Villa Rennie is that it's very unspoilt and uncommercialised and has hardly changed in the 15 years I have been going! When I arrive at Villa Rennie, I spend about 3 days pinching myself thinking, am I really at this beautiful place, its like a dream.

I am so hoping that we can all go back again next year, I think about it everyday and my house is filled with photos of our wonderful time there. It's a very special place!
