Thank you for opening your beautiful home to travelers & families like ourselves! Being in Tobago, and staying at your home, left us feeling perfectly relaxed. I think it was the first time in a long time where we actually weren't looking at each other while on vacation and thinking its time to go home. Our girls came to believe this was our new house and they weren't too pleased when we had to leave. The design of the house was perfect. It was never too hot, the breeze flowed freely throughout the house, and it was easy to control the containment of our kids! Plus, the house was just beautiful to look at! There was a beautiful blue & yellow bird that perched each night on a branch outside of the dinning room window that our kids named "Bob", and a bat that came home every morning to hang from the rafters that our son named "Dylan". The girls just ended up calling him "batman"....but we just loved being surrounded by nature at the Mary's Hill Lodge!
There were no major issues to report other than your phone line (and all the phone lines along Plymouth Rd.) going down. That caused us to lose some internet access. I did notice repair crews tending the lines the last few days we were there. Our favorite beach was Grafton Beach and the Black Rock area. We did most of our shopping at "Coss Cutters" in Scarborough. We found the fresh seafood being sold on the beach in Lambeau thanks to some nice citizens of Scarborough The kids enjoyed a few dinners & Italian ice cream at Ciao near the ferry docks. The drive to Charlottesville was very nice...but the road to Pirate's Bay from Charlottesville was not passable in our under powered rental car. That became a whole separate adventure! We will always hold dear the memories we now have from our time at Mary's Hill Lodge. It was the perfect family get-a-way!

Sincerely,
The Bierman Family
