The property is in an excellent location and so hidden from view that we felt very secure at Avocado Cottage. The accommodation is comfortable and the veranda (and the view) is absolutely wonderful. We ate all meals on the veranda from 6am to 10pm (virtually no mosquitoes..). Our host (Bob) picked us up from the airport and dropped us back - as well as took us on a preliminary shopping trip the next day (early closing Sunday and our rental car wasn't booked till 2pm). Tony also cooked us an absolutely excellent meal (lucky Michelle). There's no air conditioning (NOT required) but there were excellent fans which we appreciated. We walked to the beach one day (about 20 minutes) but since we had a rental car - we just drove everywhere. You can get to just about anywhere on the South end of Tobago in less than 30mintes from the Cottage. Lovely Island. The property is 'open' (unsealed) so you sometimes get geckos in the house and of course need to sleep under mosquito nets (provided). Overall excellent value and a fabulous holiday. Martin also went fishing with a local charter and returned with enough Kingfish and Tuna to feed us all week.
