From warm greetings through final send-off [midMarch 2014], Bea & Win provide impeccable hospitality and cordial assistance that makes a stay in the Essex House cottage a pleasure. The infinity pool overlooking fantastically huge west views of the Caribbean, the accommodating Essex cottage and the proximity to Andy’s local ‘authentic’ bar and the scenic Parlatuvier beach [down 220 scenic, lovely steps from cliff top] make for a terrific homebase on the west shore of Tobago. The remote-ish location is low-key and wonderfully laid-back but within easy striking distance of Tobago’s many facets. The Sargents offer up terrific recommendations for excellent birders and guides, restaurants, markets, hiking and waterfalling in addition to colorful local stories of Tobago life. Highly recommended.
