My boyfriend and I spent a week at Gloucester Place in January 2015. Bea and Win were the most gracious hosts and we highly recommend staying there during your time in Tobago.
The B&B is a little off the beaten path, which makes for an incredible getaway from the touristy destinations in the Caribbean. Gloucester Place is tucked away on a lofted bend, with striking views of the ocean below and the jungle above. The B&B is a very short drive to Parlatuvier, which offers some dining and grocery options. Castara is about ten minutes by drive and offers more options for food. The North side of the island is generally less touristy, but much more relaxing and offers a great location to truly get away from it all.
The B&B was very beautiful, had an open air feel, and an infinity pool to boot. We stayed in the Carlisle room and had great views from our private veranda, we also really enjoyed an evening cocktail from the first floor porch with Bea and Win. Bea and Win were excellent cooks (ask for the Banana and Oatmeal Bake!) and the portion sizes for breakfast portions were very healthy. Between the quality and quantity, we did not go hungry.
Our hosts were also very helpful in determining our itinerary for the day. Tobago has plenty to offer and we were determined to make the most of our vacation. Bea and Win’s input helped us plan our days and take advantage of our time there. They also offered some great tips for dining and helped make reservations when required. On a couple of days, we did take it easy at a local beach, Englishmen’s Bay, which the B&B is conveniently located near. It is considered one of the most beautiful beaches on the Island so no matter where you stay, it is a must see.
We enjoyed our stay at Gloucester Place very much. Thank you Bea and Win for making our Tobago vacation incredible!
