We had a fabulous stay at Lillibets and must offer a huge thanks to the owners Tom & Liz for that. The apartments are in a beautiful location on the hillside above Little Bay, equipped with everything you need and if you need anything else Tom & Liz are there and always willing to help. The wifi access and use of a neighbouring pool were an unexpected bonus, as was the excellent air con unit in the bedroom and the powerful (and hot) shower, not to mention the amazing view from the balcony where we ate all of our meals. I can't add any more to the reports already on this site, which are very thorough and overwhelmingly positive. Would we stay at Lillibets again? Without hesitation, its great value! Yes, there were steps involved, but you will struggle to find property with such a good view in Castara that doesn't involve any steps or a steep road and ultimately, the steps can be tackled at your own pace, have a handrail and are lit up at night. If you opt for a beach-side property you will likely find the sandflies problematic - we didn't experience them up at Lillibets. You also won't escape the noise from the local wildlife (cockerels mainly!), no matter where you stay so if you are a light sleeper some ear plugs may be beneficial. Castara is by far the friendliest and safest place we found on the island. For its size, it has a decent amount of eateries, but The Boathouse just below Lillibets and on the beach was our favourite. We rarely strayed up and over the middle hill to the larger bay as we simply didn't need to.
