Six of our family members spent a week in Tobago on a spectacular vacation. It was our first trip to Tobago, but we are definitely looking into a return trip. The night we arrived, Judith prepared a local meal for us - complete with homemade rum punch. The Villa Soleil is simply magnificent!! The design is certainly unlike anything I have experienced - open air atrium, wonderful sleeping facilities with private porches, a complete kitchen stocked with any pot, pan, utensil or appliance you'd ever require. The housekeeping was more than adequate. We did run the washer and dryer a bit more than usual due to the fact that the three brother-in-laws have a clothes washing fetish. The multilevel pool and decks are incredible. Plenty of quiet places to simply relax and larger areas for the group to get together. I cannot say enough about the Villa Soleil - you really need to experience it to fully appreciate all it has to offer. The views from the various windows are nothing short of spectacular. The spacious showers were unbelievable. All bedrooms had AC, but you certainly did not need it while we were there. We did an all day tour of the island with Frankie's Tours which was very informative as well as beautiful. Instead of renting a car we hooked up with Mr. Joefield who took us everywhere we desired - Pigeon Point beach (two or three times), humming bird sanctuary, Grafton beach, restaurants (The Fish Pot and The Steak & Lobster Grill) as well as grocery shopping when needed. We actually saved money compared to renting a car. He was also our transport to and from the Tobago airport. He also knows just about everything you'd want to know about Tobago. We invited Judith back on another evening to prepare a seafood dinner (lobster, shrimp, tanya fitters, coleslaw, etc.) which turned out to be delightful meal. In summary: Rest assured - you will not be disappointed by a stay at Villa Soleil.
