After a short ride from the airport, you drive through the gate into the back of the house. If you're like us, you'll want to get quickly settled, but you will get distracted as you enter the house and walk into the unique open-air courtyards. You'll be drawn to the many shuttered windows. Everywhere you look there are windows. Since Villa Soleil is perched on a hill overlooking the Carribbean Sea, each window offers a magnificent view of either the very blue Carribbean glistening in the sun or the endless pool and lush vegetation.
When you finally pull yourself away from the view, you can settle into one of the bedroom suites. Each one has a private verandah and bath. At night you can opt to use the air conditioning in your bedroom, or open the doors and enjoy the sea breezes and be lulled to sleep by the sound of the sea.
You won't want to go anywhere. Meals can be prepared in the fully equipped and modern kitchen. Dining is always an experience as you gather around the beautiful mahogany table with friends. That is, however, after you've enjoyed cocktails and are awed by the beautiful sunsets.
Each day in paradise is more enjoyable than the last, and you will find yourself not wanting to leave. Or you can make a promise as we did, to return next year.
