Bougain-villa is very much a family home which is available for letting as opposed to an appartment for let.
aas such it is furnished to the highest standards of comfort and can be really recommended as the one to choose.
The house is beautifully designed and takes advantage of its setting so that cooling breezes can be encourages to flow through the house and the early morning sun warms the terrace above the swimming pool.
The owners are clearly gardeners and it is a pleasure to walk around all the plants in the garden - many of them are fruit bearing. We were introduced to some fruits we had never tasted before.
There are three large air-conditioned bedrooms and a huge kitchen and living areas as well as the terrace, and there are plenty of videos to choose from for the evening - another advantage of a family house.
the villa is situated away from the normal tourist places but near enough to the main road so that you can have access to everywhere but far enough away that there is no traffic noise.
Bacelot bay is within five minutes walk and we often had teh whole beach to ourselves. It is on the seaward side of the island so there was interesting flotsam and jetsom as well as wildlife to look at. Each walk was different.
I think my favourite memory of the house was the number and variety of birds which flock to the feeding station. The owners are clearly bird lovers and the birds were expecting to be fed. We saw some birds which we thought we would have to seek out coming right to our door and we were able to watch them feed from the comfort of our arm chairs.
If you are looking for a cool and comfortable slice of the real Tobago together with access to a great beach and particularly if you like wildlife and gardens, then have a look at the photo's on the site and seriously consider Bougain-villa.
