We stayed at Bougain-Villa for almost 6 weeks, March / April 2011 - & were delighted with our choice of accommodation in Tobago.
The villa was well equipped, comfortable & spacious - we had everything we needed to make it a real home-from-home during our long stay: the owner, Yansie - & property manager, Mr Telemaque - had thought of everything.
The gardens were beautiful - attracting beautiful birds & butterflies, we have some wonderful photographs - & we had limes, bananas & papaya from the trees around us...the pool was especially delightful - just a few steps away whenever we needed to cool down or fancied a swim.
Mr Telemaque was simply WONDERFUL: nothing was too much trouble & he was always on hand to sort ANY problems whether they were concerning the actual villa or not - he just wanted to make sure NOTHING spoilt our holiday.
The location is very quiet & upmarket residential, although there is a small beach at the rear if you fancy a stroll along the sea...there are 2 hotel bars / restuarants - & a small shop, which is open in the afternoon / evening - within about a 15 minute stroll away...for everything else you will need a car or taxis - but with Scarborough being only a TT$30 (about £3) taxi ride away, this really isn't a problem.
With the area around the villa being so green & lush, there are quite a few mosquitoes around - so pack your repellant (or buy a can of "OFF" from any minimarket on the island - brilliant stuff)
Without hesitation, we would definately recommend this villa for your stay in Tobago...
