Our second stay at Carpe Diem continued to delight. You’ve seen other excellent reviews about the place, so this is in addition to that information. You will easily guess, that we are interested in the birdlife.

Our most welcome visitors to our balcony included close up views of mot-mots, a cocoa creeper, rufous breasted wren, blue-black grassquits, tanagers: blue-grey, white lined and palm, hummingbirds: ruby-topaz, rufous breasted, and copper-rumped, banaquits, red-vented chacalacas, white tailed doves, spectacled thrush, barred antshrikes. Plus an interesting range of other creatures; the cricket being just as entertaining as the World Cup in New Zealand! There are also good views of the birds across the sea but you will need binoculars for these.

Our hosts, Chris and Yvonne also continued to delight with nothing being too much trouble. Excellent value, stunning views; a place to truly unwind.
