Kurt and Ivy are great hosts. Kurt collected us at Scarborough port when we arrived on the ferry from Port of Spain and dropped as off again after our stay. They kept the air-conditioned apartment exceptionally clean, changed our sheets and towels every second day and went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable and enjoyable.

We enjoyed the garden and lying on the deck chairs, watched colourful little birds flitting around and sipping nectar from the flowers. Walking the streets and to the beach, one just had to watch not to be hit by mangoes or coconuts falling from the trees!

The apartment is two minutes walk away from the Castara beach and we spent hours in the calm and warm waters of the Caribbean swimming and looking at the variety of fish swmming in the bay. It was the beginning of the rainy season, but we had mostly sunny weather and the rain showers were of short duration. Kurt organised a rental car for us and we went to Speyside and did some great snorkelling on the Atlantic side of Tobago.

If Tobago wasn't so far away from New Zealand, we would love to go back to Castara and the Baywatch Inn!
