Mahogany Villa was a perfect setting for our first trip and vacation to Trinidad & Tobago. The team responsible for Mahogany Villa proved the reality more than matched the advertisement: Liz and company met and greeted us, gave us a tour of the facility and the grounds, and provided us with a wealth of information about Tobago. Workers were ever present in and around the complex of Villas. Along with the golfers playing on the golf course behind the Villa, other tourists in the gated community, and the well lighted grounds at night, the area gave us a sense of safety and security which enabled us to relax after spending a few days in the busy capital city of Port Of Spain.
The Mahogany Villa team had help in welcoming us as Simon McClatchy, the taxi driver and tour guide that met us in Scarborough at the Port where the ferry landed, gave us a bag full of mangos he had just picked in Lowlands region of Tobago. We snacked on those mangos for five days.
From the outset, through e-mail and by telephone, Liz maintained constant contact with us and literally "walked" us into the Villa. She graciously responded to any request we made including meeting with us at our convenience early in the morning on our way out.
We cannot wait to figure out how to make time for another stay at Mahogany Villa and a trip to quiet and beautiful Tobago.
